# Studio Display reconstruction: sources and reuse

The interior photograph is by **iFixit**, from Sam Goldheart's article,
[Studio Display Teardown: Is this secretly an iMac?](https://www.ifixit.com/News/58242/studio-display-teardown-is-this-secretly-an-imac), 30 March 2022.

The JPEG is distributed unchanged. The interior is modelled from outlines traced
on it: the two side acoustic chambers (with pockets for the lower speaker
modules), the woofer modules and tweeters, the blower housings and impellers,
the split power supply, the logic boards, flexible cables and fasteners. Those
parts carry their own materials (moulded black plastic, felt pads, stainless
mesh, steel, copper windings); only the circuit-board tops sample the
photograph for their component detail. The page can also lay the photograph
itself over the model, registered to the chassis, so every outline can be
checked against the source. Depths, the inside of the woofer modules, the
outlet route and the exploded view are adaptations, not measurements or
photogrammetric recovery.

**The photograph-derived reconstruction and its contributions, including the
traced coordinates and texture mapping in models.js, are distributed under
CC BY-NC-SA 3.0.** The educational publication is noncommercial. This license
statement applies to this reconstruction, not to unrelated work on Isegoria.

The opposed drivers drawn inside each woofer module and the enlarged
force-cancellation pair are explicit teaching models. The photograph does not
establish their internal construction, magnet layout, channel geometry or
dimensions. Nothing here is Apple CAD, a validated acoustic solver, or a
reconstruction of the 2026 model.

The outer case, glass, perforated edges and stand use Apple's published product
dimensions, product photographs and the
[2022 exploded-view documentation](https://support.apple.com/en-ie/100669) as
references. Apple imagery is not redistributed, and no logo is drawn.

Lighting uses the CC0 Poly Haven HDRI photo_studio_01 served by the site.
