Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 September 2026

STEM Genius collects no personal data, contains no analytics or tracking, requires no account, and sends nothing off your device.

Data we collect

None. STEM Genius has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no server. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind, and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

Data stored on your device

To make the app work, STEM Genius saves a small amount of information locally on your device, using the operating system's standard app-preferences storage:

This information never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server we operate. It is included in your device backups only if you have enabled Apple's own iCloud or local backups, which are governed by Apple's privacy policy rather than ours. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Network access

STEM Genius does not make network requests. All problems are generated on your device, and the mathematics typesetting engine (MathJax) is bundled inside the app rather than loaded from the internet. The app functions fully with no internet connection.

Notifications

If you turn on daily reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are created and delivered entirely by your device. No push server is involved and no device token is transmitted.

Children

STEM Genius is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected, there is nothing to request deletion of.

Third parties

The app includes MathJax, an open-source typesetting library, bundled locally. It runs on your device and makes no network requests. The app's licence notices are viewable inside the app under About. No third-party SDK receives any information about you.

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected or held, there is no personal data to access, correct, export, or erase. You can remove all locally stored progress at any time by using the reset control in the app, or by deleting the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
